Llewod Llawen - Year 1 & 2 - Mrs Elin Rowlands

Welcome to the website page for Mrs Rowands' Llewod Llawen year 1 and 2 class.

On this page, we will be sharing news and uploading pictures and videos of the fun activities the children complete.

Our theme for this term is Good Life, Good Choice! Our intention during this theme is to focus specifically on health and well-being as well as researching the other learning areas. We are very excited to start a new theme and looking forward to getting the pupils' input.

Uniform

• Your child's name needs to be clear on all clothing.

• P.E Lessons: P.E lessons will take place on Tuesday afternoons. On Tuesdays the pupils can come to school in their school jumper, joggers / shorts and trainers.

• Forest School - we kindly ask you to send your child to school in a school jumper with suitable old trousers and a pair of rain boots in a bag.

Seesaw

As we plan and complete a variety of effective tasks and activities within the unit, we would like to give you the opportunity to be more involved in the education of the pupils by sharing more of these activities with you. Feel free to share comments on these tasks by clicking on "write a comment" on the activity.

Obviously, the pupils work together and there are many group activities happening within the unit, so if you are not happy for us to upload a photo or video of your child, let us know as soon as possible as other parents within your child’s class will be able to see.

Homework

Homework will be set on Friday via Seesaw. The children can upload a picture of their work to Seesaw for the teachers to leave comments. We kindly ask you to complete the work within the week. We will sometimes share letters and announcements through the app.

Reading Bags

Please could you ensure that your child brings their reading bag to school everyday as there is no set day when their books will be changed. Also we kindly encourage you to read with your child at least three times a week to increase their fluency and confidence. Thank you.
