Welcome to the class website page for Mrs Dona Humphreys' Year 5 & 6 Tegid class. On this page, we hope to share news, pictures and films of the class, busy participating in a variety of activities.
Our theme this term is 'Celebrations'. We will be researching and looking at different celebrations around the World during the term, beginning with Martin Luther King day on January 16th.
Your child will have PE lessons on Wednesday and Friday. On these days, children should come to school in clothes that are suitable for PE lessons – a white T-shirt, school jumper, plain black or navy joggers (a small logo is fine) and trainers.
Homework
Homework tasks will be shared on Thursday’s and need to be returned to school by the following Tuesday. We will share the information about the tasks on Tegid’s Google Classroom page or paper copies will be sent home.
Reading
Each pupil will choose an English and Welsh reading book to take home. It is important that pupils practice their reading as often as possible. Once pupils have finished their reading book, we kindly ask that an adult signs their reading record and then returned the books to school so they can be exchanged for new ones. We kindly ask that pupils bring their reading records and reading books to school during the week so that we can use them in our reading activities.
